Standards worth knowing

  • ASTM F1216 covers the installation of cured-in-place liners by inversion; ASTM F1743 covers pull-in-place liners. A contractor who designs liners to these standards can tell you the wall thickness and why.
  • ASTM F585 is the practice for pipe bursting with HDPE, and ASTM F2620 governs the butt fusion of the pipe itself.
  • NASSCO's PACP is the standard coding system for sewer camera inspections, used by most utilities; a contractor who codes to it produces reports a city engineer can read.
